BEST OF 2021

Best of 2021

So that was…different…

It will shock no one when I say 2021 was a weird one. It feels strange talking about 2021 in the past as it still doesn’t feel like it has ended yet. The first 5-6 months were spent wondering if and when weddings would ever be back to normal while shooting the occasional, but lovely intimate wedding with between 15-30 people (Whatever Boris decided we were allowed that week!) and then from the end of June - KAPOW! They were back, parties were allowed again and the first one back was the loudest and wildest one I’ve known.

Once the weddings started again it was like they were never away, and every couple just seemed to have that extra buzz after the past 18 months. The dance floors were fuller, the hugs were tighter, the laughs were louder, and the drunks were drunker! Haha.

I travelled to weddings in beautiful Mallorca, Devon, and Cambridge to name a few, and visited a few of the local favourites too.

But when I say it feels like 2021 hasn’t ended it’s because there hasn’t been a pause since they started again, working right through December and January and up until I type this (IN SEPTEMBER… ahem… OCTOBER!!! Best of 2022 out soon! Ha)

‘This is Reportage’ Story teller of the year, UK no.1 & Worldwide no.2!

It was a huge honour to be named the ‘This is Reportage’ Story teller of the year for 2021 - without doubt the proudest moment of my photography career. This is Reportage is a worldwide community of elite wedding photographers. Their awards are among the hardest to win and to be the SOTY basically means I received the most story awards that year. I also came No 1 in the UK overall for the second year running and No 2 in the world.

‘The Wedding Industry Awards’ Regional winner and National runner up.

Another highlight was to be ‘The Wedding Industry Awards’ regional winner for photographer of the year, and National runner up. ‘TWIA’ is the only awards that takes into account what your couples say about you, and a panel judges you on your entire business - not just your photo’s. You can see more about here.

Cheers!!!

So yeah - Cheers to everyone, a huge huge thanks to all the couples who chose me to capture their incredible weddings, and once again to Vic, for her patience while I’ve been away at all the weddings!

Love this? Then check out these…
